Bio: Mike Wilson acquired his first piece of memorabilia over 50 years ago. It was a Carl Brewer game used stick signed by the entire Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey club. A family cousin was friends with Carl and once he heard about Mike’s early obsession with the Leafs, they acquired a stick for him. The other significant piece was the famous Frank Mahovlich, Libby’s beans colour poster from Dominion food stores. Mike had two copies and gave one copy to Frank’s dad who was the skate sharpener at Leaside Arena. That poster hung in his shop until the day he retired.

The Space Between Houses

The Space Between HousesThere are unexplained noises outside that can wait until morning. There are phone numbers that should never be called. There are places where being rich and famous means a fate worse than death. There are shortcuts you’re better off avoiding, like the space between house… Walk the paths of madness, horror, and revenge in the debut collection from author Christian Laforet, featuring ten stories that prove it’s always easier to see the light when you are standing in the dark.

No Light Tomorrow

No Light TomorrowSome things are so accepted as to be taken for granted. While the far future is shrouded in uncertainty, there are expectations often considered assured that are overlooked. There is only one you, threats are usually empty, ghosts are not real, life is finite, science can solve the most daunting challenges, and beliefs are assured when society takes matters in their own hands. When unexpected events transpire, we are left in the dark.

Authors Christian Laforet and Ben Van Dongen present six science fiction stories that explore improbability and show you what happens when expectations are subverted.

Thought-provoking narration presented by the authors on the accompanying CD’s shows you how to take charge of your pain and offers you an effective way to control it.
The first part of the book teaches the listener how the mechanics of the brain and body produce what is called consciousness. With this understanding the listener is then able to apply the knowledge gained into the guided meditations presented so that they are able to effectively use their own conscious intent to will the pain gates in their nervous system to close.
