Mark Lefebvre is the Director of Self-Publishing & Author Relations for Kobo. Bringing more than two decades’ worth of bookselling and book industry experience with him, Mark (who is also a writer and an editor) joined Kobo in late 2011 in order to provide a solution for indie authors and small publishers to publish direct to Kobo’s global catalog in 190 countries. Kobo Writing Life was launched in July of 2012 and in those four years has grown to represent approximately 15% of the company’s weekly unit sales and a share larger than the world’s largest publishers. Mark and his team of publishing professionals believe that authors are as critical business partners, and working collaboratively with authors has always been a core function of the Kobo Writing Life team.
